How to Use BitTorrent

Someone sent me an email asking to post a step-by-step guide on how to use BitTorrent. BitTorrent (protocol) is one of the most popular ways of sharing files across the internet (peer-to-peer), ranging from applications, movies, music, games, pics and many more. Torrent files can also be downloaded here on thepirata.com.

Some Secrets Men Won’t Tell YOU

I was reading this in a certain web blog and this article just screamed to be read. Not literally (obviously, as we are in the Muggle world), but as somebody surrounded by women who are lost in relationships and maybe, just maybe, cannot and does not find it in there heart to listen to every damn sense I try to stick in their heads, you just can’t help it! (Hey, you know who you are!). Of course I do have a lot of guy friends too and believe it or not, I am sometimes mistaken as somebody with balls not because I almost look and act like one but I do, yes, I honestly do, understand most of them who we fondly call “chauvinist pigs”.

Here are some secrets your man will not tell you. Pls. note, my thoughts are written after every secret in italics. Read on…

College Dropouts, Who Became Billionaires!

Generally people believe that it is education and studying hard that is the solution to becoming eventually rich someday. But let me show you the people who were college and school dropouts but became billionaires. Then again, there are millions of other dropouts who never became rich and only a few of these loafers became billionaires. On the contrary, and to take on board the fruits we reap when we earn a college degree, still, good education has always been a positive key to being successful (I did finish college, you know).

So, the fact behind the success of these dropouts is the combination of the qualities they had. This special quality includes vision, determination, hard work, positive attitude, business sense, leadership and motivational skills. These traits are more important than having a college degree.

Hit the jump (More) to see the list of college dropouts who became BILLIONAIRES:

Shoulda Woulda Coulda

Lately, I have been consciously tolerating idiot ideas that swam through my somehow lethargic fantasies. I just cannot brush off the amusing thoughts because I am a firm believer of the fantasy world and wishful thinking and yeah, it is best enjoyed awake…. If you know what I mean. Work has been starting to pile up, and to shun off lunacy and mind-numbness, who knows, one or two might still come true?! Besides, IT’S FREE! And that’s the beauty of it…

  • What if I speak Spanish or Chinese well? (I have always been fascinated with the accent and the eccentricity of their language plus, I find beauty pageants or the Olympics a humdrum without the interpreter!)
  • Is it too late to become a truck driver, a firefighter, a cartoonist or a mechanic?
  • How does shrimps taste? I have been allergic to it since forever…
  • What does it take to be unafraid of spiders and mascots?
  • What if superman had the bat’s suit instead and/or never wore a cape?
  • What would it be like to actually spend 1 week in that CHOCOLATE Factory? My god!
  • How would it feel to survive after being swallowed by the biggest fish and stay at its belly for 3 days?

And the list goes on and on…….. And then snap! Back to work again…

Golden Boys

They finally did it! Team USA reclaimed the Olympic GOLD in Beijing after a thrilling 118-107 victory over Spain.

Culminating a three-year mission to end years of embarrassment, the U.S. team survived a huge challenge from Spain, winning 118-107 in the gold-medal game Sunday. It was a close game from start to finish, with Spain playing very well despite Team USA’s suffocating defense. My fellow Olympians Lebron, Kobe and Dwyane lead Team USA to it’s biggest win in U.S. Olympic men’s basketball history.

Wade scored 27 points for the Americans, Kobe Bryant added 20 points and Lebron James contributed 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assist. Spain played extremely well against the team that defeated them in a 37 points blowout during the preliminary rounds. Spain exploited Team USA’s weakness by playing zone defense, but unfortunately for them the three brightest stars of Team USA exploded in the final minutes to grab a win. Rudy Fernandez (not the action star) scored 22 points, Pau Gasol had 21 and his mongoloid brother Marc Gasol only manage 11 points and 4 rebounds for the Spanish.

“That’ll probably go down as one of the greatest Olympic games ever”, Lebron James said after the game.

The moment he received his medal, James reached down, grabbed it and stared at it. He held it inches from his eyes and just gazed at it, transfixed. And when they handed him a bouquet of red roses (wtf?), he held them to his nose and inhaled two huge breaths, the sweet smell of victory filling his nostrils and lungs.

CONGRATULATIONS! TEAM USA IS NOW OFFICIALLY REDEEMED!

Redemption!

They did it! USA have finally beaten Argentina! its ’04 Olympic nemesis. (I’m taking about basketball)

The Americans ended their streak of final four flops and Argentina’s hopes of an Olympic gold-medal repeat, starting fast and finishing strong in a 101-81 semifinal victory Friday.

The Argentines, with Ginobili’s flair and Scola’s force, won gold in 2004 and silver in the 2002 world championships, beating the United States in both tournaments. The victory in Indianapolis was the first time a U.S. team lost with NBA players.

The climb back to the top is nearly complete. One more win and U.S. basketball is golden again. Dubbed “The Redeem Team”, the americans were up by 21 early in the second quarter. But they went ice cold against Argentina’s zone, committed some silly fouls that gave away free points at the line, and saw the lead trimmed all the way down to 46-40 on a basket by Scola in the final minute of the half. Then in the 3rd and 4th quarter Lebron James and team USA came alive blowing off Argentina in the final minutes to advance to the final round of the tournament.

As usual, my close friend Lebron James was spectacular. James hit two quick 3-pointers in the fourth to extend the lead to 84-66.

Bryant, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul all had 12 points for the Americans. Carlos Delfino scored 17 for Argentina.

The path to gold — and redemption — looks clear as the Redeem Team faces Spain, a team it blew out by 37 points during pool play.

USA will face Spain for the prestigious GOLD MEDAL on Sunday at 2:30 am ET.

FUCK YEAH!! GO FOR GOLD TEAM USA!

Doppelganger

I wonder how it feels like to open your eyes one day and see a mirror-image of yourself hovering in your bed. Pretty scary huh? Being in the situation would really scare the hell out of somebody’s gut. First thing I would do: scrutinize her face. Do we really look the same? Up to the last freckle and mole? Same dark circles under the eyes? Mannerisms? Then probably after that longest 1 minute of my life, and if I don’t ever lose my last breath, I would ask: “Why are you sent and from where are you?” If I hear it answer back, that’s probably the best possible time to run out of my room! My God! It talks!!!
