I have never heard of the term Aquaholic until now. Apparently, aquaholism is a condition that results in the continued consumption of, get this – WATER! It is very similar to alcoholism, but instead of gorging on alcoholic beverages, an aquaholic person finds pleasure in consuming large quantity of water very quickly.
A mentally disturbed man named Andrew Else an ‘aquaholic’ who had been addicted to drinking water for 30 years drank himself to death by gorging on a hosepipe.
He drank so much water from a garden hose that his heart failed.
He developed the condition after suffering stomach pains in his 20s.
He would often go to extreme lengths to satisfy his craving, regularly drinking from bathroom taps.
Pathologist Dr Colin McCormick said Mr Else had died from over-consumption of water which had diluted the levels of sodium in his blood, causing heart failure.
Toxicology tests also found he had died from water intoxication – a condition known as hyponatraemia – after drinking several litres.

I’ve been saying that for a while
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.
