Ever want to boot up into Windows XP via a USB memory key? Well, now you can. This is a miniature version of Win XP. So you can restore from backup, access your files, or do whatever you have to do.

Install Notes:

1. Unrar the ISO from the archives using Winrar.

2. Burn the ISO using a program such as Nero, Alcohol 120, Blindwrite, etc. (Burn at a slow Speed to ensure no errors, 2x-4x)

3. Change Bios Priority settings so it boots from the CD-ROM Drive First. (You may be able to skip this step)

4. Insert Disc and Reboot PC, Follow the on screen prompts and enjoy..

Tweaking uTorrent
Now Go To Options>Preferences>Advanced in utorrent, and Set
“net.max_halfopen” to 2048.[It would be 8 as default in utorrent]
Hit Ok

In uTorrent do all of this:

1. Set your “Global Maximum Number of Connections” to 130. (For 256K connections) Setting this number to low will limit your speeds, and setting it too high will cause too much bandwidth to be used, and can cause slowdowns.
2. Set “Maximum Number of Connected Peers per Torrent” to 70. (For 256K connections) If you see that the peers connected to a specific torrent are exactly that number, or very close, then increase this number to improve seeds.
3. Set “Number of Uploaded Slots Per Torrent” to 3. (for 256K connections) This depends how much you want to upload to other users. If set too low it may affect download speeds.
4. Check “Use additional upload slots if upload speed <90%”
5. In Options>Preferences>Queuing, Set “Maximum Number of Active Torrents” to 2 (for 256K connections)
6. Set “Maximum Number of Active Downloads” to 1 (for 256K Connections). [If you download more than one torrent at a time you will experience slow speeds. It is best to download one file, and then
download one after.]
7. In Options>Preferences>BitTorrent, Check “Enable DHT Network” (This is recommended to be checked to improve speeds. More people will be available for sharing if it is checked.
8. Check “Enable DHT for New Torrents”
9. Check “Enable Peer Exchange”
10. Check “Enable Scrapping”
11. Under Options>Preferences>Downloads, Check “Pre-Allocate All Files”
12. Under Options>Preferences>Downloads, Uncheck “Append .!ut to Incomplete Files”

And keep seeding, your upload speeds have increased too…

Tweaking Reserve Brandwidth

START – RUN
On Run dialog box enter “gpedit.msc”
A new window(Group Policy) will open up,on it
select  Administrative Templates > Network > Qos Packet Scheduler
On the Right – SETTINGS there is “limit reserve Brandwidth”
Double click – Enable it and change Brandwidth limit [%] to 0
Now this has been done, so you can use the 100% of you brandwith.As default Windows
limits 20% of its brandwidth for windows services.

Mozilla Firefox Tweak

PLEASE NOTE: Only works for Mozilla Firefox
1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
2. In addreas bar type: “about:config”
3. Look for were it says “network.http.pipelining” to TRUE
(Double Click it until it says TRUE)
4. Look for “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to TRUE
(Same way as stated above)
5. Now. Right-Click Anywere then click “Create New” Then “Integer”. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay”
Then Click Ok,then put the number “0″ (Zero) in the next box
6. Click OK,
7. Restart Firefox.
8. Feel The Difference in Speed.

When you try to browse the internet you’ll be redirected to the SmartBro Portal right?
1. Run the NETSCAN .
2. Go to Options Menu then click on Program Options of NETSCAN.. shortcut ctrl-o.
3. Click Additional tab then check the Resolve MAC Addresses. click OK.
4. On the IP Range enter 192.168.100.1 TO 192.168.224.254 then click Start Scanning
5. It will display all the live IP addresses.
6. Run the MAC Address Changer.
7. Select any live IP Address that was detected by NETSCAN.
8. Use the MAC Address Changer to change your MAC address using the one you selected in NETSCAN.
9. Change your ip address using the corresponding IP address of the MAC address you selected in NETSCAN.

The 4x4 Revenge is called the Rubik’s “revenge” because Erno Rubik wanted to get his “revenge” on everyone who had mastered the 3x3. The Rubik’s revenge is more challenging than the 3x3 (I know, its suprising) because the 4x4 doesn’t have a designated center piece that is stationary. Since there are 16 pieces per face 16 is an even number, each piece of your Rubik’s 4x4 will move independently, and therefore there is no designated center piece. The Rubik’s (and EastSheen) 4x4 can be solved by following the following steps in a nutshell.

1. Find the centers, match up all centers.
2. Match up edge pairs
3. Solve as a 3x3

Now doesn’t that sound easy? Once you get the hang of it, it will be pretty simple for you.

The Rubik’s 4x4 does have one extra step that can get especially annoying, it is a little thing known as parity.

4x4 parity (shown at left) is when two or more colors seem to be switched and switching them back around would cause the cube to be solved, there are several cases of parity and each one requires an algorithm.

If you haven’t noticed yet, Google has introduced a new way to customize Gmail. With recent addition of Gmail Voice and video chat you can now also use themes to change the look and feel of your Gmail account.

Gmail Themes currently offers over 30 options to personalize your Gmail account.  I’m assuming they will offer more in the future.

To apply Gmail themes: login to your account, click the Settings tab (upper right), then the Themes tab.

Choose from minimalist, contrast black, graffiti, ninja, terminal and a lot more.

Just point and click for the theme of your interest.

My personal favorites so far are contast black, shiny and terminal. But I’m using terminal right now.

Changes will only apply on each corresponding account.

This is a big improvement for Gmail, because this is a lot more appealing and fun. It’s really nice. Just check it out!

Actually, you don’t need a time machine to do that. You just need to use the Internet Archive.

The Internet Archive (IA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and maintaining a free and openly accessible online digital library, including an archive of Web.

Yep, I bet you didn’t know that.

The archive includes “snapshots of the World Wide Web” (archived copies of pages, taken at various points in time), software, movies, books, and audio recordings.

Which brings us to the “Wayback” Machine.

The Wayback Machine is a digital time capsule created by the Internet Archive. It is maintained with content from Alexa Internet. This service allows users to see archived versions of web pages across time—which the Archive calls a “three dimensional index.”

I assure you, using the Wayback Machine is a lot of fun. You can see the archive of your favorite websites based by date.

Just enter the URL of the website and click the “Take Me Back Button” then you will be presented with the archive of the website by date. Select one and enjoy.
