The Ripsaw MS1 is an unmanned ground vehicle built by two brothers in Maine. The tracked vehicle can go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds with an 80mph top speed. In its current form, it has a 2000 pound capacity, which opens the possibility for many different types of weapon systems. Control is provided by two people: one driver and one gunner. They work in independent remote stations. The Ripsaw could potentially be used in any application normally reserved for a tank. It could lead a charge without putting soldiers at risk.

A vast tunnel complex in central London is for sale – history included.

Perfect as a super secret lair!

Former tenants include Britain’s secret service, the famous hot line between America and the Soviet Union during the cold war and 400 tons of government documents.

The exact location of the tunnel and it’s entrance is kept secret and will only be revealed to the buyer.

After years of lying unused beneath the traffic-jammed streets of the city, the tunnel complex — one mile of underground corridors and adjacent rooms — is now for sale by the BT Group, Britain’s largest phone company. BT hopes the site’s special features will attract buyers even as the property market above ground is going through its biggest downturn in decades.

The tunnels were built during World War II as bomb shelters in which people could survive up to five weeks underground. They were never used by the public, though. During the war, the complex housed troops before D-Day and was also used as a base.

The tunnel network became known as “underground town.” It included cafeterias, a recreation room with dart boards and snooker tables and a movie theater. Telephone company workers often spent the night below ground, too.

While the complex might seem intriguing, life underground is dry, hot and stale. Subway trains constantly rattle through a separate tunnel system just a few feet above.

BT workers are under orders not to reveal the exact location of the complex. “We just don’t know what the future owner will want to use it for, so we can’t disclose more information,” David Hembra, a BT worker, said.

How about as an exclusive orgy party venue? Just saying.

Thieves dressed as a worker, complete with hard hats and yellow jackets, stole not from the house but the whole house!

Using a ladder the pair tore down the house brick by brick with the neighbours inadvertently helping them by collecting fallen tiles.

They even stopped for a launch break!

All the roof slates were taken and one of the walls of the three-bedroom semi was wrecked before the alarm was raised.

The owner, a property developer, said the damage would cost him about $15,000 to repair.

I can’t help but to laugh on this one. Crazy days!

A Great Dane owner in the U.K. spent about half a million dollars to have a doghouse built on an exclusive estate near Cirencester in Gloucestershire. It will be built from materials such as zinc, glass and limestone and is designed by a top-class architect.

This expensive doghouse will consist of:

- sheepskin-lined, temperature-controlled beds
- an 18in-deep spa
- a $230,000 sound system
- 52-inch plasma TV
- sophisticated retina scanner installed at the front door to stop any other dogs getting in
- ‘Dog-vision’ webcams to allow their owner to monitor their activity 24 hours a day
- a climate control to ensure they are kept warm

The two dogs will each have a bedroom with large windows which overlook their own private playground.

There’s even a spa bath with a saline treatment built in because it’s good for their coats.

I can’t believe that with the current state of global economic crisis- massive layoffs, unemployment and companies declaring bankruptcy – some people can still manage to shed some serious amount of cash for unnecessary stuff. Just unbelievable.

The kit which contained stakes, mirrors, a gun with silver bullets, crosses, a Bible, holy water, candles and even garlic is said to be the real deal.

It is said that this kit was made for vampire slayers, back in the day when people believed vampires roam the streets.
