Using a ladder the pair tore down the house brick by brick with the neighbours inadvertently helping them by collecting fallen tiles.
They even stopped for a launch break!
All the roof slates were taken and one of the walls of the three-bedroom semi was wrecked before the alarm was raised.
The owner, a property developer, said the damage would cost him about $15,000 to repair.
