Great Work. My wife is Chinese Indonesian. She spent most of her life in Indonesia. Her story of Suharto is a bit different from yours. She says the Communists tortured and killed most of the Indonesia Military Brass. One escaped and told Suharto, a Muslim. The Communist killed a lot of people in her Country. Suharto and his Military went after the Communists with a vengeance. Some were Chinese, some Indonesian. To this day, anyone that had parents and grandparents that were Communist have to carry a card stating they are Communist. My wife's grand father left China to Indonesia because her was a Communist. My wife's grandmother was Chinese-Indonesian. Grandma was not a Communist. The children were raised by her and therefore escaped the Communist label. But grandfather had to hide for years for being apart of the Communist movement. To my wife and her family, this man is a hero who did what he had to to protect the people and his country. My wife's Chinese name is Hung Cen Fang. But per Indonesian Law Andrayani. I plan to retire to her country.
